new year hope

happy new year, everybody!

2017, man.. what a year. it had some good times, no doubt about it, but i dunno about y’all.. it really flipped us off on its way out. i for one am glad to let 2017 and everything that came with it, be behind me.

i am.. cautiously optimistic about 2018. i’m hopeful. i feel like you *have* to be hopeful, otherwise the tough times of the previous year just keep their hold on you into the next. and i want more than anything to have a fresh start, to have this year be better than the last, so i’m hopeful for now that the new year will bring good things to us.. all of us.

my girls && i are wishing everyone a happy, healthy, prosperous 2018. cheers to a new year and to new experiences, and be hopeful with us that 2018 will be better. ♥

hi! been a little bit, huh? what can i say.. stuff comes up, motivation goes down, life.. finds a way of getting *in* the way.

so i’m trying to play a li’l bit of catch up here today, showing off some things that i should have shown off already.. and the theme is rompers!

and we’re starting off with tee*fy! i love just about everything this brand makes, and azure does the combo of sexy ‘n’ cute so, so well. the plunging neckline and short shorts are perfect for warmer days, while the sweet floral print && belted waist give it juuuuust enough cute!

next up is paper arrow. i snagged this at the last round of the epiphany && i lucked out in getting this soft pink option. the satin texture for the fabric and the tie at the waist could make this romper something dressy *or* something super casual.

lastly, we have reign from the last round of collabor88. the pattern options in the fatpack for this romper were *so* perfect for a summertime kinda feel. bright hot pink + navy blue is my absolute favorite color combo and this romper with this tropical floral combined them perfectly~

return of the coven

one of reign‘s latest gachas for the epiphany is the return of the coven set.. a continuation of their witchy gacha set from last year. and since i pretty much live my life as if i’m the next surpreme, this gacha was basically made for me…

however, the name is a liiiiiiiittle misleading. it implies the coven has been dormant since last year. instead, what really happened is.. we’ve just been quiet, and i’m back to recruiting new members to add to the fold. pumms is the first of many, and she and i are totally not in a shady, seedy shack to summon the dark yordle… cough cough. we’re just here to chat about innocent witch-type things like whether cats or owls are better familiars, or if eye of newt or toe of frog is more potent for love potions. absolutely no shenanigans will take place, i promise……

over the years, i think i’ve made it pretty clear that i love me some sailor moon. it’s so nostalgic for me.. i grew up watching it every single day after school (toonami ftw!). i love the story, i love the characters, i love the art.. and it is still, to this day, one of my favorite television series ever.

of course i love the main character, but.. i’ve always identified more with other scouts. mainly jupiter (because she was tall && brunette like me irl) and mercury (i thought she was awesome because she was so smart!) and welp..

sometimes, i just can’t resist the urge to indulge in a li’l cosplay. :3

the crystal heart festival is an event that i about *had a fit* over. so many cute things, all in one place, catering to my inner anime nerd.. it’s like i died and went to sailor moon heaven. i squealed (literally) over these atomic sweatshirts, and vivi had some luck in the cosmic dust purse gacha and won me the mercury bag… and thus, i was pretty much obligated to become one with ami mizuno.

if you’ve haven’t been to crystal heart and you’re as big of a sailor moon fan as i am, then gooooooooo. you won’t regret it! your inventory will be bursting with sailor scout goodness and it’s more awesome than i can even put into words!
