who is ready for a little pumpkin spice, worn three different ways? /me raises hand
to be honest, orange isn’t a color i wear too often. but i thought it might be a fun challenge for myself to style up shades of orange that didn’t look particularly halloween… but rather, just simply fall-appropriate.
so let’s see how i did 😀
first, i went a little casual. you can never go wrong with something as classic as a button down shirt with a pair of nice fitting jeans! i used blueberry‘s new top (out @ collabor88) with a pair of candydoll jeans (that are found @ uber), and added accents of dark purple with the buttons on the shirt && these new reign heels. i think deep purple and bright orange look so good together, and with the way these pieces fit.. it’s sexy while still comfortable.
next, i wanted to try wearing orange with black without looking like a halloween decoration! i think i pulled it off 😉 the adorable dress i’m wearing is one of tee*fy‘s c88 releases, and when paired with this sweater by the secret store and the heels && stockings from reign (both also @ c88), the colors not only look great but the style as a whole seems to fit together nicely.
and lastly, i wanted to show how great orange pairs with shades of brown and cream. this look is definitely the most pumpkin spice imo, and i think it all works. i’m wearing the other half of blueberry‘s c88 releases with this skirt ‘n’ belt combo, a pixicat cropped turtleneck on top, and a pair of boots by empire (@ chapter four) that were just way too good to pass up. bare legs can look a bit odd in colder months, but wearing tights or tall boots like these are perfect for making even the teeniest skirts still look appropriate for fall!
i’ve also got on new truth (top two pics) && little bones (bottom pic, at c88) hair styles, new glam affair skin + lip appliers (also @ c88), with some accessories from maxi gossamer, what next, yummy && foxes.
the colors are the pumpkin spice.. and the rest is everything nice. i really enjoy giving myself challenges like this, because i even surprise myself with the way i end up doing things. orange is a fantastic color for fall and is more versatile to work with than you might think!
