new year hope

happy new year, everybody!

2017, man.. what a year. it had some good times, no doubt about it, but i dunno about y’all.. it really flipped us off on its way out. i for one am glad to let 2017 and everything that came with it, be behind me.

i am.. cautiously optimistic about 2018. i’m hopeful. i feel like you *have* to be hopeful, otherwise the tough times of the previous year just keep their hold on you into the next. and i want more than anything to have a fresh start, to have this year be better than the last, so i’m hopeful for now that the new year will bring good things to us.. all of us.

to me, nothing says spring quite like beautiful, bright flower blooms.. the greenery, the sweet smell, the vibrant petals.. it all makes me excited for warmer weather and sunny skies and some much-needed color outside my windows!

day to night

today is the first day of spring! to be honest, i personally am not ready for winter to go away fully (what can i say, i love the snow) but it’ll be nice to have a mix of warmer weather from here on out.

a post from earlier in the month inspired me today to do something similar.. instead of getting ready with me, i’m gonna show off an entire day’s worth of looks! from morning ’til evening, fitting for a little bit of spring sunshine..

so let’s get to it 😀

first up, the morning jog! still gotta look cute, even in sweats. these particular ones are by reign on the bottom && blueberry on the top, both @ collabor88. and i love the way these fit! i paired ’em with some candydoll platform sneakers && a group gift updo from truth.. with some glamistry sunglasses for the bright morning sun, and a kick of lemony, sugary energy in this tumbler also from reign!

next, it’s off to lunch with bae. we found this cute li’l sushi place that serves the most delish array of options, and allarik can’t seem to get enough of it. so i dressed appropriate (imo!) for a midday date in a short candydoll skirt and a cute socks ‘n’ heels combo (both found @ kustom9), a tank top at collabor88 by reign, with an emery denim jacket over top && a casual bag by c’est la vie.

my last stop… drinks with the girls. pumms, vivienne && i are *always* sexy when we go out together, and this blueberry dress works so perfectly for a night out with the besties! i decided to style it with a pair of thigh-high strappy sandals from reign at versus && amped up my makeup by glam affair with a bright, glossy red lip and heavier eyeliner. of course, my homegirls would be showing off on the dance floor while i get turnt on fruity drinks at the bar.. but at least i look super hot while doing so! 😉

it’s been a good minute since i took pics somewhere *other* than my sky platform. i think it’s just become wayyyy too easy to set up a scene in the sky, or use a backdrop prop (of which i now have a bajillion) that’s already done for me, and use that instead of gettin’ out there && exploring the grid.

so you know what i say to that? NOT TODAY!

me ‘n’ my three kittens actually teleported somewhere that wasn’t an event or sale and did some good, old fashioned sim hopping. i loved the scenery on this sim, with the pretty red rocks and river and greenery. it may not match my shiny-urban-camo look exactly, but that’s okay.. that’s just part of using someone else’s sim for picture taking. and honestly, it felt really nice to see something that wasn’t put together by my own derp decorating skills.. for that alone, it was totally worth it~

get ready with me

are you a fan of get ready with me videos on youtube? i sure am.. one of my favorites does these kinds of videos all the time (with guests that are very relevant to my interests) && i lovvveee watching them. i am no makeup guru, either in rl or in sl, but it makes me feel like i *am* getting ready with them..

so i figured i might do one myself, second life style!
