Yesterday I got two huge surprises!  Not only did my husband Roy surprise me by getting a brief leave, he also whisked me away for a weekend getaway!!

day to night

today is the first day of spring! to be honest, i personally am not ready for winter to go away fully (what can i say, i love the snow) but it’ll be nice to have a mix of warmer weather from here on out.

a post from earlier in the month inspired me today to do something similar.. instead of getting ready with me, i’m gonna show off an entire day’s worth of looks! from morning ’til evening, fitting for a little bit of spring sunshine..

so let’s get to it 😀

first up, the morning jog! still gotta look cute, even in sweats. these particular ones are by reign on the bottom && blueberry on the top, both @ collabor88. and i love the way these fit! i paired ’em with some candydoll platform sneakers && a group gift updo from truth.. with some glamistry sunglasses for the bright morning sun, and a kick of lemony, sugary energy in this tumbler also from reign!

next, it’s off to lunch with bae. we found this cute li’l sushi place that serves the most delish array of options, and allarik can’t seem to get enough of it. so i dressed appropriate (imo!) for a midday date in a short candydoll skirt and a cute socks ‘n’ heels combo (both found @ kustom9), a tank top at collabor88 by reign, with an emery denim jacket over top && a casual bag by c’est la vie.

my last stop… drinks with the girls. pumms, vivienne && i are *always* sexy when we go out together, and this blueberry dress works so perfectly for a night out with the besties! i decided to style it with a pair of thigh-high strappy sandals from reign at versus && amped up my makeup by glam affair with a bright, glossy red lip and heavier eyeliner. of course, my homegirls would be showing off on the dance floor while i get turnt on fruity drinks at the bar.. but at least i look super hot while doing so! 😉

it’s been a good minute since i took pics somewhere *other* than my sky platform. i think it’s just become wayyyy too easy to set up a scene in the sky, or use a backdrop prop (of which i now have a bajillion) that’s already done for me, and use that instead of gettin’ out there && exploring the grid.

so you know what i say to that? NOT TODAY!

me ‘n’ my three kittens actually teleported somewhere that wasn’t an event or sale and did some good, old fashioned sim hopping. i loved the scenery on this sim, with the pretty red rocks and river and greenery. it may not match my shiny-urban-camo look exactly, but that’s okay.. that’s just part of using someone else’s sim for picture taking. and honestly, it felt really nice to see something that wasn’t put together by my own derp decorating skills.. for that alone, it was totally worth it~

springtime colors

i dunno about you, but for me.. spring is definitely in the air. it may only be the end of february, but it’s been warm ‘n’ sunny outside my rl windows this week and i am *totally* feeling the change of seasons already!

so, naturally.. i decided to put together a few looks to show off today that are all spring inspired!

in this first look, i’m rockin’ some blueberry separates. i love being able to mix && match pieces in my wardrobe throughout the seasons, and i’ve worn these cake leggings several times now in posts. not only do they come in a thousand and one colors, but they’re just *so good* for more casual outfits. and when paired with this super cute cropped hoodie from luxe box this month, it’s comfy while still cute.. especially with these candydoll platforms!

secondly is something quintessential spring to me.. pastels! this tee*fy skirt that’s out @ n21 in this watercolor print just *screams* spring to me. and while i was playing around with this candydoll top, also @ n21, i realized that i could make it match the skirt exactly. it looks like they were made for each other, like they’re a full dress! some strappy reign sandals complete the look in full spring pastel splendor~

another thing that always makes me think spring is floral prints! candydoll always does such nice ones and i fell in love with the color combo on this skirt. beige, cream, light blue and a brighter hot pink.. it’s just lovely. so i paired it with another candydoll top, this time from rewind, in a matching blue ‘n’ white.. and grabbed for another pair of strappy reign sandals from n21, with a thick glass heel that adds just an extra layer of sexy!

pastel kitten

if you’ve maybe followed our blog here for a bit, then you may already be aware of how obsessed i am with cats. they are by far my favorite animal and i am a sucker forpretty much anything that’s even remotely kitty-related.

with bento out now across the grid, the lure of waggly kitten tails && twitchy cat ears was too strong for me to resist.. and thus, i have achieved my ultimate form!

cat-vixxie is best vixxie, imho. ;D

so! i decided to put together two *cutesy* looks for today, befitting my new kitten self. one, featuring blueberry‘s latest dress in a shiny, unicorn ombre.. and the other, using candydoll‘s short dress @ uber, complete with more unicorns across the corset!

my tail, by sweet thing, is soooo adorable. sweet thing has done several so far, complete with animations, but this one in particular you can find it at the newest round of enchantment && i died over the poof and the ribbon! the ears are actually a *freebie* on the marketplace, by aii.. and while they’re meant to be fox ears, i personally think they fit just as well as cute, twitchy cat ears.
