With life being as busy as it sometimes gets, my friends and I don’t always get as much time to spend together as we would like.  So last night when my pal Vixxie & I actually had some spare time we didn’t hesitate to spend it together outside in this beautiful SL weather!

we all have our favorite brands on the grid. there are a select few that just can do no wrong in my eyes… they are no brainers when it comes to shopping && blogging, i *always* grab for their items when i’m in the mood to take pictures.

so imagine my *utter glee* when two of my faves collaborate on a new uber release. yes, there was much squealin’, lemme tell ya~

little bones and blueberry collab’d on this awesome dress ‘n’ hair combo called nova, and i die. i live. i die and then come back again just to *die* all over again.

there are four hairstyles to choose from (one of which i already wore in a post with my girls) and the dress comes with hood up and hood down options, as well as a ton of color choices. the four wigs actually fit *inside* the hood if you wear it up, and it works perfectly! it was all just too good not to wear in a post of my own, so i tried to wear the combo a li’l differently by myself!

i’m also wearing a *new* glam affair system skin(!!!) && a lovely *new* white widow tattoo, both of which you can find @ the newest round of shiny shabby.. and, i can’t end the post without mentioning these empire boots, that are out @ the fantasy collective. thigh high and strappy and color change and sex on stilts. everything works together to make my inner fashionista pass out from shopping happiness~~

weekend getaway

last night, the hubs and i were both bitten by the wanderlust bug.. and we decided to do some exploring.

eventually, we found a li’l cabin surrounded by a lake, tucked back in some woods where the trees were just starting to show hints of autumn. it was beautiful.

so we stayed. :3

waking up this morning and hearing the wind rustle the leaves, and feeling the first touches of fall chill in the air was wooonderful. i am definitely a fall && winter kinda girl, which just makes me excited now that the season is a changin’!

plus it was a nice excuse to spend some quality time with allarik. a weekend getaway is *just* what we needed~

pretty pink punk princess

i was browsing flickr yesterday, which i pretty much use as a depository for all things oooh shiny, and i noticed one of my favorite brands had a new release. blueberry makes such high quality, cute clothing, that’s always so affordable *and* perfectly fitted on top of it, and thus i ran so fast to grab myself a brand new dress!

i styled it sorta *punk*, with some reign booties that are a current midnight mania(!!) prize && an adorable little bones hair (that’s out @ c88 right now) complete with its very own crown! some jewelry from maxi gossamer && gabriel (which is a prize for the the collection game by madpea, of which me ‘n’ my girls have mentioned a lot this week so far!), a cute li’l shoulder bag from chapter four by c’est la vie.. and to top it all off, some hot pink lips from glam affair && a smokey purple eyeshadow from lovely disarray (that i layered under a heavy eyeliner + heart cheek tattoo combo, from nova).

i may not look like your typical froufrou li’l princess in soft pastels and glittering jewels, but i’ve got a crown, so. i’m sayin’ that i’m a princess whether i look it or not!

happy 4th of july! \o/

now i know i can’t top pumms’ 4th of july post (and if you haven’t read it, you totally should ’cause omg), but vivienne and i looked so cute today in our red, white && blue that i thought i’d share anyway!

a couple weeks ago, i posted about a weekend cookout we were having, and today we’re firin’ up the grill again! we’ve got burgers cooking, drinks chilling, s’mores waiting to be devoured && sparklers a-sparklin’.. and to top it all off, we have a gorgeous day outside to enjoy it all in.

have i mentioned that i have the best partner in all of sl? maybe i have, but i feel like i should mention it again! as an anniversary present to me, allarik bought me a couple things from the summerfest event.. including the maitreya swimsuit && coverup combo there.

the bathing suit is so cute and fits like a glove, but the kimono jacket cover up was what i was most excited about. sure, the duo looks really nice together.. however, the jacket works for more than just as a swimsuit coverup!

to me, it looked like the perfect little summery jacket.. and the look i ended up with is so very boho!

i paired it with a fringe-tastic top from sn@tch && a pair of really nice jeans from coco that are on offer @ creation.jp, with an older oversized bag from auxiliary, a pair of *gacha* n-core heels, a coming soon tattoo from speakeasy && a ridiculously adorable curled ‘n’ pulled-back hair from truth.

one year

exactly one year ago today, allarik and i tied the knot! \o/

it doesn’t even seem possible, that it’s been a year already.. it still feels like it was just the other day that we got engaged, let alone got married. but it has been a year, a wonderful year at that, and of course he and i took a couple pics together to commemorate.

i also have an amusing anecdote to share. 😀

if you’ve followed my blogs for a while (or you read the post i linked above!), then you’ll know that allarik and i took our time between engagement and wedding. he proposed on christmas 2013, but we weren’t married until almost exactly six months later. we didn’t want to rush into things, and we both were perfectly fine with just being engaged..

…however. there’s always that one friend, y’know the type.. when are you getting married? why haven’t you guys made it official yet? when do i get to be maid of honor?!?! and that friend, for me, was a certain miss pumms. and one evening, when she and i and allarik and vivi and vivi’s husband braden and pumms’ hubby roy were all on, together, for the first time in a long while… it was actually a suggestion sparked by pumms that we got married when we did. O:

yep, that’s right. it wasn’t me, and it wasn’t allarik, that decided our wedding date. it was my girl pumms. and i gotta be honest here, i’m glad i listened to her. it was the perfect time, and it was so wonderful to have all our friends there to celebrate with, and is one of the best nights i’ve ever had in sl to date. and it’s all thanks to her!

so it’s been an entire year for us, and i couldn’t be happier. allarik && i took the pics together today in the same spot we took our wedding pics.. and i’m even wearing the same brands in the same colors i wore that night.. and i’m feeling the exact same way i did a year go, happy and giddy and very, very much in love! ♥♥
